British chart-topper SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR is bringing her glossy disco pop down under in February 2026. With shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, fans from all corners of the country will get to boogie along to their noughties favourites and brand new pop anthems from her latest album Perimenopop.
One of the biggest British pop artists to emerge from the 2000s, SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR established herself as a pop diva with smash-hits like “Murder On The Dancefloor”, “Get Over You” and “Take Me Home”. Spanning across seven studio albums, her discography transcends layers of genres from dance-pop and folk to prog-rock and orchestral pop.
Hailed “the queen of disco pop” by DIY, Sophie’s upcoming album Perimenopop celebrates her life-long relationship with pop music that only grows deeper with age. Released last Friday, the album features singles “Taste” and “Dolce Vita” and is a playful celebration of where Sophie is at in her life, knowing exactly who she is and embracing the joy and empowerment that brings.
London born and bred, SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR grew up in a creative household, taking an interest in performing at an early age. By 17, she had joined Brit-pop band Theaudience, reaching #22 on the UK charts with their debut album. Following the band’s breakup in 1999, Sophie wasted no time launching her solo career, where she would go on to create the iconic disco anthems fans know and love today. Showcasing a blend of ’80s-influenced synth-pop and disco, 2001’s Read My Lips, reached number 2 in the UK. and hit the top 20 in several countries around the globe.
Known for her feel-good live performances, Sophie has performed at world famous venues and festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude and Australia’s very own Splendour In The Grass and has supported the likes of household names George Michael and Pet Shop Boys.
Making a pop culture resurgence in 2023 after “Murder on the Dancefloor” was featured in cult film Saltburn, and covered by Royel Otis, Ellis-Bextor’s reach has extended to a new generation of listeners. Proving herself as a timeless pop icon, Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be uniting both new and all-time fans to enjoy her glittery hits down under in 2026.
