The Rock for People festival has announced the first of four headliners for its 28th edition, which will take place from 12th to 15th June 2024 in the multifunctional Park 360 in Hradec Králové.
With nominations for the prestigious Grammy and BRIT Awards and multiple Kerrang and Heavy Music Awards to their credit, British band BRING ME THE HORIZON are fast becoming one of the most successful contemporary rock bands and have featured heavily on the Rock for People fan wishlist.
With the announcement of the first headliner, the festival promoters are also fulfilling the second wish of the fans, which is once again a four-day event format, with the original date now extended to Wednesday 12th June 2024. Fans can look forward to another batch of bands and the traditional Advent calendar coming soon.
The quality of BRING ME THE HORIZON is evidenced by their move into the top league of world bands, successfully joining the ranks of traditional headliners who have dominated primetime at the biggest festival stages around the world for decades. BRING ME THE HORIZON dominated the Reading & Leeds Festival lineup last year and this year headlined alongside greats Metallica and Slipknot at the legendary UK Download Festival in front of a crowd of 100,000.
Fans come first with us, so when they let us know that they wanted Bring Me The Horizon the most, we did everything we could to make sure they got their wish! Booking bands is not a simple thing at all, a lot of circumstances have to come together correctly, such as the band is touring that year, it suits the date and so on. So I am very happy that we managed to do it!

The brash rockers with a pull on the gate from Sheffield, England, will return to the Czech Republic after a year, when they put on an unbeatable show at the Fortuna Sports Hall in Prague at the beginning of 2023. It was this that contributed to their huge local popularity, which is still rocketing. The audience’s favourite is the band’s charismatic frontman Oliver Sykes, whose croaky, expressive voice encourages togetherness in times of anguish and sorrow. He sends a clear message to the fans that no one is alone! Unbridled energy, rebellion and controversy – that’s BRING ME THE HORIZON. That the guys in the band aren’t afraid of this is proven, for example, by their live performance at the 2016 NME Awards, when during the song “Happy Song” frontman Oli demolished the Coldplay table he climbed on.
